Valerie’s Story

Site created on April 10, 2018

Hello,

The purpose of this site is to share information regarding my current health info, and to get any suggestions, feedback, comments, greetings etc. from my friends and family.  PLEASE NO MORE DONATIONS TO THIS SITE.  It is fully funded and needs no additional contributions.  Please find the GALLERY icon to view photos. PLEASE CLICK THE PHOTO TO SEE THE PHOTO CAPTION.
WARNING: SOME OF  THE GALLERY PHOTOS ARE GRAPHIC and not for the faint of 💜 heart, so please use discretion.

The cover photo of the straw hat 🎩 is especially dear to me.  My mother in law, Gloria sent me a lovely selection of hats and scarves 🧣 which make the hair losss so much more tolerable.  Why use this photo?  Aside from the gift 🎁 itself, and the inspirational words of love and caring that she sent in the card, it also symbolizes the hope and joy of establishing a “well overdue” closeness with my hubby’s Mom.

First, my apologies for not posting more often.  As you probably guessed, I am rather low energy these days, and don’t want to feel guilty for not keeping up my journal, when I might be lucky enough to use my energy to do a load of laundry, to put dishes away or sneak a look at my email from work.

Since I don’t feel very attractive lately (the chemo has pretty much taken most of my hair) I will be posting mostly random pictures that have meaning to me since I have become 😷 ill.  I noticed that there is often an icon on the page that says, READ MORE.  A little bit irritating, but you may as well use it if interested in reading more.  Thanks a ton for your support and words of hope and encouragement.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Valerie Zuniga

Sorry, but it’s getting to the point, when I needed to use my time carefully.  I will probably not be posting until well after surgery on September 13th.  I have all kinds of follow up appointments, insurance and other stuff that I need to deal with before that time.

Not sure who is planning a visit to the hospital, however I will be having the procedure done at Banner University Medical Center .  It’s confusing because they are currently moving and expanding, so I have been to five different facilities for one reason or another.

Ill try to update you when I start my recovery.

Thank you all for your kind words, gifts and prayers.

love you all...
