Newest Update

Journal entry by Emma Arline

Hello all,
We hope you've had a merry Christmas and happy start to the new year! Evangeline had a few outpatient checkups this week so I thought I'd post a brief update. Her lungs are clear, heart sounds and looks good, and has now gained enough weight and is taking enough milk by mouth that we got to take out her feeding tube and let her set her own schedule for when she's hungry! She will still remain on baby aspirin, but we're weaning her off all other meds since her lungs are clear of fluid and she's had no nausea since being home.
We thank God for her health and for such a wonderful Christmas at home surrounded by family. ❤
You can pray that over the next week the transition to primarily breastfeeding would go smoothly, and for her long-term development. Here are a few photos since being home of her smiles, in her Christmas church dress, and her satisfied look after having plenty of milk. She loves to smile and seems very social already!
In faith,
Em and Jay
