Ethan’s Story

Site created on January 17, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. My 14 year old nephew, Ethan, was diagnosed with Leukemia (AML) on 12/30/20.  He is at CHOP receiving chemotherapy treatments... my sister has been documenting his journey on Facebook, which I will be posting here.  We appreciate your support, prayers and words of encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

...lots of L❤️VE yesterday and it came in a few different forms! I had to make the difficult announcement to my class that I had to “go be Mommy” for the rest of the year (a difficult situation since we have been virtual for 127 days, hybrid is starting soon and my district needed the teachers in the classroom). FMLA helps me keep my position and my benefits but no paycheck (trusting God in this). So one of my kiddos drew a picture for me, a beautiful mermaid (she’s quite the artist) saying “I’ll miss you Ms.Hardman”...and I’ll miss them too! 19 years and this year has been extremely exhausting not to mention dealing with cancer on the side! My Aunt Marlyn and Uncle Freddie sent Ethan $20 buckaroos! That’s 4 trips to the frozen yogurt machine! Which is great because that’s about all he’s eating right now. My Mom and Aunt Pat came down last night to drop off more coffee supplies for our Coffee Connection and cousin Parker came along for the ride. Unfortunately it was just a drop off as Ethan can’t have visitors but his ANC counts are starting back up which means we could be home soon for a break! He’s at 20 this morning! Lots of awesome positive things happening folks! God is good and working through all of you that are donating coffee supplies and reaching out with cards, texts and packages. Thank you for your love, support and prayers on this journey! Truly means the world to this Momma!🙏🎯😍🍀💛🥊🍋☕🙌 #ethankickincancer
