Today is my last chemo session, # 12 of 12. Ironically I have felt the worst over the last week than I have pretty much through all of this. Saw my oncologist yesterday and told him how poorly I had been feeling and he said a lot of his patients don’t get through all of their cycles so I’ve done really well and my symptoms are to be expected at this point. That gave me the mental boost I needed for today’s treatment.
Next step is radiation - I’ll see radiation oncology May 16th and set up that treatment schedule. I feel like after today I’ve made it over the biggest hurdle of my journey.
