Erin’s Story

Site created on March 20, 2024

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

Recently Erin has had a major decline in mental health. Thursday, March 14th 2024 she was seen in the ER for chest pain. It was confirmed that it was not a heart attack but was unsure of what could be the cause. Friday, March 15th is when we noticed the decline. She started talking a lot more than usual, over sharing to anyone (including strangers), she has little to no short term memory. She is more irritable than usual. She has exhibited signs of major behavior changes, such as impulsive decision without thinking of long term consequences. She is definitely driven by intrusive thoughts.. We are hoping with the right professional care we can get her back to the Erin we all know and love!

Journal entry by Courtney King

Today was the last bit of appointments for mom. Her stress test and echo came back good! There is a few things with her heart that are moderate and of zero concern right now!!  We are still waiting for a few more appointments with neuropsychologist later next week and of course still dealing with the back and forth with short term disability. But we are still taking everything day by day.
