Erika Nelson-Gibson, 43, of Orlando, FL was welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior on June 6, 2023 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL.

Born on October 22, 1979 in Peoria, IL, Erika resided there until moving to Orlando in 2021. A graduate of Limestone Community High School and the University of Central Florida, Erika focused her career to sales, which took her across the U.S. Erika married Kirk Gibson on June 20, 2020 in Cashiers, NC.

She is survived by husband Kirk Gibson, parents Kent and Joan Nelson, and siblings Kacey (Stephanie) Nelson and Lindsay (Scott) Ramon.

Erika enjoyed spending quality time with friends and family, Jeep rides with Kirk, cooking, traveling, golfing, art, fashion, and the beach. She especially loved being an aunt to Ingrid, Agnes, Lucas, and Lorelei.

Her infectious laughter, witty sense of humor, and deeply compassionate heart will be missed.

• Orlando, FL - Dubsdread Golf Course on Friday, June 30 at 5-8pm

• Peoria, IL - First Church of the Brethren of Peoria on Saturday, July 15 at 10am

The family welcomes donations to the American Red Cross as an expression of gratitude to the blood donors who helped Erika in her time of need.
