Journal entry by Jennifer Arthur

Hello,

It is hard to believe that it has been ONE MONTH since I had surgery. Crazy!!!
I had my appointment  with surgeon and had first expansion (ouch) everything is looking great and moving along as expected. My next reconstruction surgery is scheduled to take place on August 21st, at 7am.

I sincerely can not express and thank you enough and tell you how much your dinners have meant to our family. Although I have finally been immune deficiency cleared I am still staying clear of grocery stores and crowded places due to the climbing Covid numbers. I am also having a hard time with my right side where the cancer was and lymph nodes were removed so at this point I would find it hard to cook three meals a day 7 days a week. So again I can not express how amazing your dinners have been and how much they have meant to us and are appreciated.

I am so blessed to be surrounded by amazing girlfriends that are taking turns and making sure that I am never lonely, sad, or lacking for anything.  I could not do this without you all and my amazing family of course! I have been walking every day ( snail pace) 🐌 so so so frustrating for me because I want to run but I just have to keep reminding myself that  I am only 4 weeks out and recovering. I also do 45 minutes of arm exercises every single day to help with motion and flexibility. Just taking it one day at a time and keep reminding myself of how lucky I truly am!

Thank you and much love to all!!! Erika
