Eric’s Story

Site created on September 26, 2022

On September 13, Eric was working with his voice therapist on a zoom call when someting changed.  He was having problems getting his thoughts out and during that session he stopped talking and went silent.  After that his ability to communicate went south.  Days later he lost the ability to use his right hand to feed himself and also was unable to walk.  What was thought to be progression of Parkinon's turned out to be 2 tumors and a lot of edema in his brain.  The doctors believe the melanoma has returned.

Journal entry by Liz Pitcher

Dear Friends and Family.

This is overdue- I want to thank everyone for the flowers, food, and prayers over the last several months.  I wish I could write to each one of you individually but my mind just can’t seem to get it done.  It’s been almost 2 months since Eric passed and we miss him everyday.
We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah.  May 2023 bring you peace and joy for the new year.
Love,

The Pitcher Family
