It has been a while since our last post. Eric has been making great progress with his PT and has been able to enjoy some normal outings which is good for his mental health. His aunt Tracy spent three weeks with them and I can’t thank her enough for extending her stay the extra week. While she was there Eric and Stacy enjoyed an actual date night in Boise to see comedian Tom Segura.  The venue made them comfortable with extra chairs for Eric to put his leg up during the show.

His aunt Sandy arrived at the end of last week to help. They have truly been blessed with such a wonderful and loving family willing to be there to support them.  While Sandy and Stacy were researching potential lawn mowing services over the weekend, the young boy that lives across the street came knocking at the door and offered to mow the lawn.  Perfect timing!  His younger brother is Bella’s age so she has met a new playmate named Sawyer.

Eric and Stacy traveled the three hours to Pocatello today for an appointment with his surgeon and got the good news that his recovery is going well and he should be able to put weight on his leg in five more weeks.  With baby number three coming in eight weeks, that was really good news! The timing of his next appointment is going to be pretty tight because it’s scheduled three days before their baby’s birth date.  There’s also the possibility Eric will have to have a fifth surgery due to an ossification (abnormal bone formation in soft tissue) in his leg that has appeared and isn’t going away. It’s rare this happens but with the amount of trauma he experienced, his surgeon isn’t too surprised. Appreciate your prayers it goes away with his PT.  Thank you all for your continued support!
