To those of you who may, or may not, be aware Erica had a major health event beginning of March. She was taken to the ER with dangerously high blood pressure. It was high enough that it would've been fatal if given a few more hours. After restoring her BP to normal it was determined that the medication she'd been prescribed for years had caused heart and significant kidney damage.

On Friday 4/16 she went to her nephrologist, Dr Hiba Hamdan, (who has taken quite a liking to Erica) for a follow up. While her kidneys have improved they're currently only operating at 12% and are not expected to recover. The damage to the heart can be reversed, but only after her kidneys are operating normally and that will only happen with a kidney transplant. She's A+ which will match A+, A-, O+ and O- blood types.

She has been placed on a donor list and awaits a match.
