Emma’s Story

Site created on January 24, 2019

Thank you for visiting "Ms. Emma's" CaringBridge Site. Emma is a loving, caring 11 year girl who is full of energy and life. She is a saved Christian and the love of Jesus shines through her. She is a wonderful friend and caretaker for her animals: 9 chickens, 2 fish, her dog Gracie, and her cat Oliver. Emma was involved in an a freak accident on January 23rd in which an eight foot limb weighing more than 20lbs fell from 40+ft and smacked her on the top of the head. The accident caused substantial fractures in her skull and face. She was under the amazing care of the physicians at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. Emma underwent surgery in March for the repair of a CSF leak that developed six weeks after the initial accident. Dr. Donald Lanza of Sinus and Nasal Institute of FL and Dr. Jallo, pediatric neurosurgeon from John's Hopkins All Children's Hospital are her attending physicians. CaringBridge allows us to post centralized updates so we can distribute key messages quickly and efficiently. Feel free to leave an encouraging comment for her. We appreciate all of the prayers and support! Sincerely,  the Waller Family.

Journal entry by Jay Waller

Our church, Immanuel Baptist located at 2351 Mahan Dr in Tallahassee FL, asked me and Kimberly to share at our annual Thanksgiving dinner what we are thankful for this year. I wanted to share this video with one of the many communities (CaringBridge) that prayed for us.

We hope God has blessed you and your family this year like he has blessed ours. Thanks for all your prayers over the past several months in the wake of Emma's accident.

In Christ,
the Wallers.
