Thank God Emma is still in remission! We received the news early this week as well her cells came back as 100% donor a sign of continued success. In addition she also had low levels of inflammation an indicator the treatment for GVHD has worked!
Emma seems to be breathing easier, moving better and eating more by the day! During the biopsy her port was replaced with a new one that actually works which will save 2-4 pokes per month for the next half year. We could not be more thankful for the news and all the continued prayers and support.
On top of all that Grand news Emma had her Make-A-Wish reveal today at the afternoon Augustana Baseball game! As part of the wish a Yellow School bus picked us up and brought us to the game! The Augustana student athletes & two Augustana Swim/Dive Team Princesses who raised the money were waiting in a cheer tunnel for Emma when she hopped off the bus! The Wish.... We are going to Disney World! What a cool day. Go Vikings!
Thanks again to all those student athletes at Augustana , Make-A-Wish and our parents for making the day special for Emma, Courtney and I.
Update on Project Stella: 5 Days ago the CAR T developed in the Project Stella lab is complete and submitted to the FDA waiting approval. Upon Approval Dr Meschinchi's team will facilitate activation as quickly as possible! Great News we are getting closer to finding those less toxic treatment options for Pediatric Cancer!
Thanks to all of you and God Bless!
