Hello Friends and Family!

We're now into the end of September which marks month 5 of Emma's treatment progression. Through it all she has mustered the courage and strength I don't think some adults even possess. We remind ourselves often that she is still a small child who needs all the support we can provide her. I know that I personally would not be able to get through this battle without support; from my family, friends and my co-workers; whom I cannot even begin to thank enough. The whole company came together for us and did a fundraiser. They also ordered bracelets for "Team Emma" and made a whole fun day where Emma came to work and received star treatment. We will never forget that day! It really made a difference for us knowing we're not alone in the walk.

Recently Emma started back to school and it's been very challenging for her. She is not motivated and doesn't enjoy being what she calls "different". Even though all her classmates and friends are protective of her. She doesn't like to be stared at so we're going to do some wig shopping! We're working with the hospital and school to help her get through her school days. She has A.D.D. as well so it can very hard trying to concentrate and struggling with where to put your emotions about being sick with cancer. We're hoping to get her some extra help here very soon.

Emma just finished her 4th course of a chemo called "Methotrexate". She had to be admitted into the hospital for these so finishing has been quite a feat! We're coming down the home stretch of the most difficult part of her treatment. The next 8 weeks she will face another round of a chemo they've dubbed "The Red Devil" - Doxorubicin. The doctors have warned it could make her very weak and tired and possibly nauseous. We're gearing up knowing that, this too shall pass. Nothing is permanent and the desire to be finished with these treatments is part of what gets us through. 20 more months left of total treatment come the end of December!

Thank you to every person reading this and every person whose spoken a kind word, prayed, reached out and supported us in every which way. We are beyond words grateful. Words are never near enough to express our heartfelt gratitude. I look forward to keeping everyone updated!

Lovingly- Adrienne
