Our weekend was a bit rocky but we are starting to see improvement . It is unclear as of yet if Emily has conversion disorder or another rare disease on top of the Pans/pandas . The docs all point to conversion disorder but want to be sure . Conversion disorder as far as I understand relates to high stress - when your body can’t handle or cope well with it then it creates moments of “pause “ where the brain no longer is talking to the body -temporarily . It creates nonnelectric seizures “pauses” to try to help the body have time to heal . Which is what we think we’re Emily’s seizures . It also disrupts ( temporarily ) or can to any neuro system in your body - which would explain why she had no ability to move or control her legs at all on Saterday .
Yet I see how the Lord clearly walked us through all of this - Emily came up with a few creative ways to help with her lack of ability - and kept a great sense of humor through it all. She slept most of Sunday which helped because she started being able to walk with support of the walker . We have never been so thankful to see her move .
Our doctors are all working together with us to make a plan moving forward . We are loookg to add some specific therapy to help Emily know how to keep her mind chatting with her body and how to deal with higher stress .
One prayer request - seems silly in light of all of this but pray for our Kitty maverick - he is struggling which looks very similar to how her kitty Mowglie died . Pray we can help bring Ricky to health- it was so very hard on Emy to lose Mowglie - Tom and I have tried to keep Ricky not doing well from Emily as much as possible . Pray the Vet can help and we would have wisdom .
