Elliott Wren’s Story

Site created on June 2, 2022

Elliott Wren Blough-Dean was born 5/29/22. He came into the world strong and crying, but because of a prenatal diagnosis of an Ebstein anomaly, we knew he would have a struggle once his umbilical cord was cut. He's currently in the cardiac icu working to strengthen his heart. He's feisty but his fight could be a long one. Please send him your strength and light ❤️

Journal entry by Faye Blough

We’re home!  Elliott has been doing so well they discharged us yesterday!  I’m still in shock.  I was prepared to spend two weeks or more back at the hospital, but not only did he have no complications, he outpaced even their shortest estimate for admission. Frankie’s so excited to get to spend Halloween all together.

Thank you so much everyone who rallied around us with food and Frankie care! Especially Trox who endured Lunds Halloween djs and drove her 45 minutes to Sarah and Amanika’s for the weekend drop off, and to Sarah and Amanika for not only making sure Frankie was fed and hugged all weekend but also apparently showed her the time of her life.  I’m not sure she’s thrilled to be back home 😆  Thank you everyone for surrounding us extra this past week ❤️❤️❤️
Adding a couple pics of our last days in the hospital and first 24hrs home.
