Journal entry by Ellen Jackson

Update:

I am home from surgery. Not too much pain at this time... just where the drains are for right this second. Unfortunately they were not able to do the tissue excision they were hoping to because it was inflamed and they worried about the risk of doing so. Good news is that it was a smaller procedure so as long as all goes well, it should be an easier recovery. Bad news is I will need to go in sooner than later to have the next step done.

The good thing about having a surgery done in an area that’s already numb is that... well, it’s already numb... bad thing will be to remember that it’s there altogether! It will be easy to forget I need to take it easy and that I am SUPPOSED to rest and recuperate. I can already tell that’s going to be an issue! I don’t think I should have any problems sleeping in bed which is nice. I will have lifting restrictions for a while but can start walking again in a couple weeks, so it is my HOPE to get back to work at that point!

Thanks for all the well-wishes! This girl feels loved!❤️💜💗
