From Elizabeth: I had been feeling really run down since probably August. I really just thought I was out of shape. I started a new job and I was just exhausted by 3pm. During MEA I noticed that my heart rate was going up to 140 just walking across the room. Michael said he's taking me in. Urgent care was going to give me an antibiotic but I insisted in more testing. I got a full blood panel and my hemoglobin was at 5.8! 12 is the low normal. I was sent to the ER. I spent 8 hours there and received 2 units of blood. I told them I felt something in my abdomen but 3 doctors didn't choose to further investigate. I got a follow up with a hemotologist and she was concerned about the mass in my abdomen. I got a CT scan that day. The next 2 weeks were filled with a lot of tests, appts, and not eating. I finally have a few answers, tumors in my colon. One for sure is cancerous and they couldn't biopsy the other due to it being unstable.

Elizabeth was brought to Rochester Mayo on November 9th after an ER visit due to some complications and extreme pain.  This lead to doctors seeing the urgency in her case and made some calls to get her in at Rochester asap. Surgery is tentatively scheduled for the evening on November 10.
