Journal entry by Anne Gross —
Hello All! I am writing to update you on Elizabeth’s progress. She has returned to her doctor for a check-up and continues to heal from her surgery. After her kidney was removed they explored the level of cancer and found it to be NON-invasive. This is good news! She has had home visits from a nurse which has been helpful. She returns to her doctor next week for a check up and to understand the next steps.
Elizabeth had a couple of visits from the home care workers, but has felt good enough to decrease these visits. Elizabeth has felt blessed for the support of my brother, Jim, and my dad, Toney, who have been with her on a weekly basis and especially for the support Sandra has provided, several days/nights a week.
Elizabeth continues to take positive steps in her healing process by getting a lot of rest and focusing on nutrition/exercise to help her increase her energy and strength. She admits that she often would rather stay in bed, but realizes the importance of moving her body!
Elizabeth enjoys visits with friends and appreciates everyones support through positive thoughts/prayer, phone calls, and visits! Please call her to let her know if you would like to schedule a time to stop by.
Thank you!
