Today was Lizzie's 3 month scans and she is still cancer-free! Praise the Lord!
The appointment went pretty well. She was pretty nervous about the CT, but with the help of "Jesus Loves Me" she was brave and made it through! She had a great time seeing all her friends from the 6th floor and everyone was very excited about all her hair. Her labs look great and she is cleared for another 3 months from an oncology stand-point.
She does have a couple of other appointments upcoming though. Next Monday she has to go in for a swallow study. They have seen some spots on her lungs in recent CT's that could just be a result of her recurring viral infections during chemo, or it could be aspiration. They want to rule out aspiration so we are going to go ahead and do the swallow study. It should be pretty easy and we are hoping it rules out the aspiration.
In addition, she also has a cardiology appointment on the 28th. We anticipate this will include an echocardiogram. We're praying that this is just a routine check-up and that her heart still looks great!
We also had to share a picture of Lizzie with the best pediatric oncologists on planet earth! We are so thankful for her full care team because they just love her so much. It was fun to celebrate with them today at the appointment 😊
