Jesus said, “Let the children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Elise gained her angel wings yesterday, August 27th, at 4:30. Below is her obituary:

Elise Marie Bernadette Tobe, 8 month old daughter of Dustin and Alicia Tobe of Coldwater, joined the angels in heaven on August 27th, 2020 at 4:30 PM.  As she was born on January 1st, 2020, she was the Mercer Right to Life and Mercer Health New Year’s baby.  Her surviving family includes her big brother Jameson, big sister Tess, grandparents Dave and Rita Tobe of Ft. Recovery and Tim and Pam Wellman of Coldwater, great- grandparents Mary Ann Weitzel and James Homan of Coldwater,  godparents Zach and Brianna Kaup of Coldwater, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who love her dearly.  Preceding her in death were her great grandparents, Cletus and Verena Tobe, Cletus Weitzel, Don and Bernice Wellman, and Thelma Homan.  Elise was baptized into the Catholic Church on January 12th and she was confirmed in Christ on June 21st. Although sweet Elise was in our arms for only a few short months, she, with her sparkling blue eyes and beautiful smile, will forever be in our hearts. A service will be held for immediate family only Sunday August 30th, 2020 with a Mass of Remembrance planned for a later date.

We are sad for ourselves but overcome with joy for Elise.  She is flying freely in heaven watching over us all.

Alicia and I would like to take this moment to send out one final thank you.  A thank you to all who have supported Elise and our family along her journey.  From the prayers and well wishes to the donations, gifts, and food, we appreciate it more than any words can express.  This is not how we envisioned Elise’s journey would end, but, after some reflection, we realize she completed her mission here on earth and has been rewarded with the ultimate gift from our Father!

Love,

Dusty, Alicia, Jameson, Tess, & Elise
