Elisabeth’s Story

Site created on November 10, 2019

My story is simple, a few weeks ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian and Colon Cancer. But my name and life is not cancer. I am a child of God, wife, mother, sister and friend.
On October 20th of this year after having surgery, the Dr's discovered and gave me this news. I could not believe what she was saying and honestly felt like Charlie Brown when the teacher was talking. "wonk wonk wonk".
I am in a fight for my life and will not give up. I was recently ask why am I not angry and my answer, I can't be angry and anger will not solve nor cure me but staying at Jesus feet and praying to God gives me the comfort I need to push my self each day.

I am going to use this platform to update as much as I can.

stay tuned..

Newest Update

Journal entry by Elisabeth Merchant

This is a brief update on behalf of Elisabeth Merchant.

Elisabeth was hospitalized for 3 1/2 weeks due to an obstruction in her colon which the doctors were unable to clear.  She was released August 3rd, but is still suffering in significant pain from the blockage caused by the growing tumors.  The medication  prescribed only takes the edge off the pain.

Additionally, there was recent water damage to Elisabeth's home which required the whole family to move out during the repairs.  They are currently staying at the Marriott on  Quantum Boulevard.

Please pray for relief from Elisabeth's severe pain and completion of their house repairs so the whole family can return home.
