Family and Friends -

Aside from the birth of my children and marriage to my lovely wife, it is with the greatest pleasure I have ever felt to tell you all that I will be picking up ELAINE JACQUELINE SALTER FRANKLIN from the hospital TODAY to take her HOME.

It is not hyperbole to state this is a medical miracle and the craziest rollercoaster of all time.

While 'healing the sick' is the foundation of the medical profession, we all know that far too often and especially in these times...it doesn't always work out.  I got to share a moment with one of her Doctors and Physical Therapists the other day and with mist in at least MY eyes and a flutter in all of our hearts, without saying the words, we all knew...today is not that day.

TODAY, the good guys won and the dragon was slayed.

Keeping in mind she IS recovering and we don't want to overwhelm her, to those that are unaware, she is responding  to texts, emails and the occasional phone call / FaceTime. Given that she will need room to acclimate, reinfection is not out of the question (we hope to have her vaccinated next month) - AND IF THERE'S ONE LESSON TO BE LEARNED HERE, people need to still be quarantining and social distancing - we are asking everyone to be mindful of requesting any drive-bys or visits.  She will have both family and professional help for the foreseeable future  - so I want everyone to rest assured she has many able hands to take care of her.

While we have all shared a lot together through this website, I can't say I'll miss it 😇and this will be the last post.

I can't mention names as I'd be here all day acknowledging a million acts of kindness from you all (and I need to get ready to go get her!) but it is with the most heartfelt sentiment there is, to say, THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU.

She did the hardest work but we all did this together.

ALL the love,

Eric, Jen, Diane, Judy, Sid
