Eddie’s Story

Site created on March 31, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On March 26, 2020 our world was turned upside down, Eddie was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.  Along with this devastating news , we were then given hope. The Doctor informed us that a plan was already in place, we would be traveling to Vanderbilt Hospital for procedure called the “Whipple”.  Only 3% of people that present with the symptoms  that Eddie has are a candidate for the surgery, so we were thankful he fell in this category.

Eddie is loved by many and we have taken the motto “No one in this family fights alone” .  He is married to Chandra, has two children, Courtney and Trey, Daughter-in-law, Keri  and son in law, Ryan. Three wonderful grandchildren Presley, Cash, and Crue who all think Poppy hung the moon! His parents Jay & Lois, sister’s Gail, Tammy, and Diane, along with their significant others and many nieces & nephews & other family & friends  that are all behind him in this journey..

Today was round 2 of chemo for Eddie today.  Visit started with the NP and getting good news that labs were where they wanted them to be and then off to treatment for 6 hours.  He was a little nervous since last chemo side effects were not bad and hoping he does as well this time.  Cold sensitivity has increased as the NP said it would & he feels so so tonight.  Thank you for all your prayers!! We ALL appreciate you praying for Eddie ..(picture just for attention)
