Journal entry by Edah Ngwatu-Ger —
Post from Sally
Last Thursday, our beloved Edah fell asleep in death.
It's been hard, sad, difficult..
There have been tears, lamentation, groans, screams, song, dirges, complaints, silence.
Then the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night... reminders of Jehovahs love and care....
In Ann, Edah's friend who is #friendshipgoals,
In the texts, calls, prayers, gifts, from friends, in the finding a flight to bring Edah home hours before the lockdowns, in the cousins who showed up at the airport and morgue with 14 hours notice. In the Alumni from Star of the Sea, Kyeni and St Augustin. In the people turning up in Sagala and Sikalame to hold wakes and be a support ssystem for parents. In all the spiritual family.. who have been brothers born for adversity. The people who have risen up to hold our hands.. and shine light on our path during this dark and confusing time.
THANK YOU Our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude.. in everyone who has taken time to share a special.. memory of Edah with us.... in person, on FB, text, what's app... they cheer us up and make us smile through our tears..
It's with an encouraged and grateful heart that I make this post.
Our beautiful msenangu, a brave warrior
with breaking hearts.. we face this reality
Isaiah 25:8
He will swallow up death forever and the sovereign Lord Jehovahs will wipe away the tears from all faces
