Journal

Jen and I were lucky enough to have dinner and a Bucks game Saturday night alone, and we did a lot of reflecting.

As we talked about the support we received in all the different vehicles, Caring Bridge came up.

We have had 26,428 site visits since 9/29/18 when we launched the site.  This translates to 195 visits per day.  That amount is downright astonishing.

From the bottom of hearts, we want to thank each and every one of you one more time.  For the actions, the words, the thoughts, or the prayers, it has truly lifted us up to be able to help Dylan get through this, and he did it...he beat cancer!

The celebration Sunday night was kind of closing the chapter on this all, and thank you for those that attended to make the evening special.  Dylan had an absolute blast running around and playing, and if you couldn't make it, know he had a smile on his face the entire time, pausing only to ask for more quarters for the arcade games.

We will continue to monitor his blood work monthly for the next year, and quarterly for another 4 years.  On the approximate 10% chance it comes back, it will likely be the first year, so we will remain vigilant.

In the meantime, share his story to anyone that needs to hear positive outcomes against this terrible disease.

We will certainly be much more involved in the MACC Fund and Children's Hospital in the future, and any other cause that comes our way to help fight pediatric cancer.  We have certainly benefited from years of donations and research that has caused the success rates of Dylan's Lymphoma treatment to rise from 60% just 15-20 years ago, to the 90% is stands at today.  Paying it forward is definitely something we will prioritize

So we will end it here...thanks once again, you all have done more than you will ever know.
