A lot cooler now. (And fortunately she never really got "hot under the collar" - just uncomfortably warm!) And she has permission to drive. However, she tires very easily, so when I'm up for a visit this Wednesday, I'll be driving her to her staff meeting at the Los Altos Retreat Center.
She'll be talking to her primary care doctor this Thursday about getting more Oxycotin, which she only needs at night now to be sure she doesn't wake up during the night in pain.
Though her body isn't waking her up at night, Buddy the cat is a pain at odd hours, causing interrupted sleep. Pray for a safe. workable way to let him out during the day so he won't be so restless at night, and better sleep for Dyane.
Then on May 20 she'll start physical therapy! She plans to drive herself to Redwood City.
She is SO GRATEFUL to everyone who's been praying for a complete recovery. She was just told at her May 6 appointment that this kind of surgery is just to keep things from getting worse. In her case, the surgery seems to be REVERSING the effects of the pinched nerve! She says now her left hand is improving - still not normal, but noticeably better.
Thank you all! Keep those cards and prayers coming!
