Duane’s Story

Site created on December 1, 2023

As this has been a rapid progression from health to diagnosis, we ask that you allow Duane and Deb time to process and cope with this new diagnosis.   We do ask that text and phone calls be limited.  It has been overwhelming the amount of amazing support Duane and Deb are receiving. However, they ask that we try to limit this as much as possible so they can focus on Duane's treatment and recovery.  We will try to update this page almost daily.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Mitch M

Sorry it has been awhile since the last update.  However, I am here today to report nothing but good news.

Duane is officially considered in remission!!!!

At this point in time Duane will need a few more rounds of maintenance chemo and then close monitoring for a period of time, but other than that his provider team feels that he should have a normal healthy life.   He did NOT end up needing a bone marrow transplant which is great!

We want to thank all of you for your support and words of encouragement during this process.   Hopefully no further updates are needed here!
