Made a quick one day trip to KC for Dow’s 6 mo check up post transplant. I could tell he was a little anxious, but I’m sure anyone that’s had cancer KNOWS that feeling, ESPECIALLY when you know you have a kind they say is not curable and will come back, but you don’t know when. I do know that he trusts the Lord and knows his future rests in Him. He is the first to say that God is good.... in good times, AND in bad! I’ve said this before, and Dow has preached on it, Christians will suffer. The Bible is full of scriptures and examples of it. Christ himself suffered!! Why in the world would we think we are exempt from that?? It’s in our sufferings that we are changed and God can do MIGHTY things!!! But we are also human, do we struggle with suffering? Do we sometimes doubt? Do we have our moments of darkness? Of course. The important part is giving Him all those things (He can handle it 😉) vs. walking away and not allowing Him to work in you and the situation.
Sorry, went on a rabbit trail! 😁 Anyway, his specialist said he is in stringent remission.... that basically means he’s in the best spot he could be at right now!!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 His numbers look great and Dr was super pleased!!! Although he doesn’t agree with our route of treatment,he can’t deny that it’s working!!! 😊
Oh and he gave the OK to travel!!! WOOHOO, we are MORE than ready!!!!! It’s been a long rough year with cancer, treatments, deaths, personal situations, the list goes on, so we are looking forward to some time away SOON!!! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and prayers!!❤️
