Good Morning!  Hoping you are all enjoying this Monday morning.  It’s been a while since I’ve updated, and honestly that’s because I just haven’t known what to say.  But, this morning I have great news to share!!!  We met with the medical oncology team, and after a few scary weeks, and a bump in the road or two Doug is improving!  I don’t mean just a little bit, but major improvements!  The most recent scan he had shows huge decreases in the liver lesions, and huge decreases in the tumor sizes in his sacral and femur tumors.  More than a 50% reduction in the right lower lobe of his liver, which was the most concerning spot. On top of all of this great news, the markers that show the amount of cancer he has in his body are now within NORMAL range!  We, and the doctors are blown away by these results!  I cried, made him cry, and then the MD cried too!  We have a long road ahead of us, and chemo is still kicking his butt, but he is responding beautifully to treatment, and we are over the moon!  Thank You to each and every one of you that has prayed, thought of us, and taken care of us through this journey! God is overwhelming good, and I’ve never felt his arms wrapped tighter around me than this morning! I know that’s because all of you pray hard for our family, and I cannot tell you how much that means to us.  Have a happy, happy Monday! 💜
