Journal entry by Kris LaBelle

Tomorrow (Feb 5), I (Doug) go to sit for much of the day to receive my second infusion of chemotherapy. I'll have good company - a friend in the morning and my son Daniel in the afternoon. My first round was okay - fatigued for a few days, followed by mouth sores and a feeling of being "off" for a couple of weeks. Not fun, but not horrible. My wish is simply that it be no worse this round.

I seem to be recovering from my surgery, just a nagging cough and some numbing remain.

We (Kris and I) continue to be overwhelmed with the love and prayers of so many. My family is with us. My friends are with us. My church is with us. Churches are sometimes criticized for a lack of love, and I supposed they sometimes need to be. However, in my cancer journey, the churches I am connected with need to be praised - they know how to care! Thank you!

If all goes as planned. I'll recover for another 21 days and have my next infusion on Feb 26.
