Journal entry by Kari Krenzer

By this time most of you will have heard that Doug died yesterday. He had very clearly expressed his desire to be home for 3 days once we realized the odds were stacked against us. He approached the last month of his illness the same way he had approached the last 4 years, by trusting the doctors and their treatment recommendations in an effort to maximize his time here with all of us. He had nearly 4 glorious days at home. He was visited by dozens of friends and family and had an endless smile on his face. We had a graduation ceremony for Audrey in our bedroom and squeezed in every last minute of family together time we could get. We will plan to celebrate Doug’s life next week with a visitation Monday May 22nd from 5-7 and a service Tuesday the 23rd at 11 am both at Countryside Community Church. Thank you for all the prayers, love and support over the last few days. 💕💕
