Mom’s biopsy of the lung came back as positive for malignancy. They also drained 800cc of fluid from the lung.
She’s been in the hospital all week and still there as I’m typing this update. They said she may be able to come home sometime this week.
Hospital food doesn’t have much flavor - and she’s been asking for different things that she has taste for. She has been eating pretty well. It’s hard for her to drink a lot of water. We are trying to find some protein drinks that she can also tolerate. Mixing them with a little ice cream and blending them up, different flavors, etc.
Throughout the week she’s needed to get some additional sodium, magnesium and potassium because her numbers were low.
Today was her second round of chemo and she’s been sleeping for quite a bit this afternoon.
