Happy St Pattys Day everyone☘️! I hope you all are doing well. Just a quick check in-

Allan and I returned from my visit to MD Anderson last week.  I had my 16 week CAT scan and labs done along with the the bi monthly infusion. I am so pleased to let you know that the scan was clear, NED (no evidence of disease). Honestly it feels like a miracle.  I am so grateful🙏🏼During the stay at MDA, I was also able to receive the evusheld injections which at the moment are only for cancer patients. They have been quite helpful in combatting the current COVID variants and do work for us, contrary to the vaccines which are hit or miss with those of us under active cancer therapies.  I’m so happy to receive this bit of protection. Earlier this month I celebrated my 63rd birthday. It was super sweet.   It’s been 27 months since my diagnosis and initially I was told that my prognosis had a 2-5 year window.  So when I first heard I had MCL I thought “well, I probably won’t see 63” but here It is. I am so thankful for all my family and friends and the incredible team at MDA. I’m hopeful that I will be able to do a bit of traveling soon to see friends and family that I haven’t been able to see due to my treatment and the pandemic.  I’m feeling stronger and doing my best to build back my stamina and strength. The best news is our grandchildren are moving back to San Antonio this summer 🤩🤩❤️❤️🎉🥳 we are beyond excited to have them near and yes their parents too😘.

lastly,  I am so so lucky to have the life I have.  I have promised to do my best with it, to help where I can, smile as much as possible and love.
