Don’s Story

Site created on October 10, 2023

On Monday evening October 2nd, Don fell while attempting to clear leaves from a gutter. He suffered a brain bleed as a result of the fall. A subsequent MRI revealed that he had a stroke sometime around the accident. Exactly when we don't know. He is currently inpatient at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. His stroke symptoms are very evident and his condition has declined through the week. He can't walk or stand, and while he has moments of lucidity, he is often very confused. Jen, Donnie and Jess are making decisions concerning his future care as he will not be able to live at home. We would appreciate your prayers for Don and for our family as we wait on answers from various teams of doctors.
