Don’s Story

Site created on July 3, 2021

On July 1st Don suffered a heart attack at his home. After CPR by his wife and daughter was administered until EMS arrived, he was taken by ambulance to Sanford in Bemidji. He was then air lifted to Fargo ED, to be later admitted to ICU where he was reassessed. He received two stents to help blockages in his heart. Post cardiac arrest protocol, he received hypothermic therapy to help preserve brain function. Yesterday (3rd) his body was back to normal temperature. An MRI on his brain showed damage from lack of oxygen. We are waiting for the next 48 hours to see if he comes out of it on his own, and we will reevaluate the situation on Monday afternoon. The purpose of this site is to give updates on his condition. We are asking for prayers and good energy to be sent his way.
