Journal entry by Julie Paul —
Hello all,
I have been incredibly remiss in posting about my Dad, but wanted to give you all an update. Chemo has been a bit rough and there have been some pretty difficult days, but we got news that the cancer stopped spreading and actually appears to have been shrinking a bit. This allowed some changes in the chemo medications which have been a game changer. I am happy to share that Dad has been able to get back to a new normal of limited RUEA activities and some car maintenance with renewed energy. He has also impressed some of the nurses with his ingenuity of "fixing" an issue he was having by applying that mechanical mind. He pulled out his needle nose pliers (clean of course) to work on his feeding tube site and I just stood there shaking my head with a smile. Once a mechanic, always a mechanic. Thank you all so much for the words of encouragement and fond memories shared, it means the world to us!
