Here is a quick update from Dad, thank you everyone for everything!

The following should be the final post for my caring bridge site.
As most do you know the infection that attacked my heart on Thanksgiving weekend created some very dire circumstances for my health. Thanks to the fast actions of Dr. Polzin and Tom Pahl - PAC, from Glacial Ridge Medical Center in Glenwood, and the many wonderful doctors here in St. Cloud the outcome appears to be as good as could be expected.
Words cannot describe the gratitude that I feel for all of my friends and family that have reached out and supported my family during this time. When I woke up last week Friday, I was just amazed at the people that had reached out with well wishes and had personally taken care of my family during my health crisis and recovery.
At the end of the day, what I know is this, my heart is working on its own but at approximately 35% capacity. We will be monitoring this in the months to come and see if we can get that back up to 45 to 50.% (normal is 60-65%). I am presently taking dialysis for kidney functionality and that will continue for at least a short period of time. There are still some minor physical and occupational therapy items to be addressed but it appears they are ready to send me home.
I will look forward to seeing many of you over the holidays and please give me a hug; it is because of your prayers and the gifted hands of the doctors that I will be able to do so. If you wish to swing by the house and see me; please text first so I can let you know if I’ll be available, there will still be plenty of rest and rehab yet.
