Journal entry by Dina Tharp —
Well the last few days have been so crazy. So due to financial issues and my grant running out, my final Lynparza pill was Friday evening at 7:30pm. By 8:30 pm I developed crazy pains in my abdomen. I was up all night violently ill. Finally Saturday morning I asked Justin to take me to the hospital. Yep you probably already guessed it. Emergency appendectomy surgery. Thankful I was at least smart enough to go to the hospital that the best surgeon in Las Cruces practices at. Had surgery late Saturday afternoon and it ended up taking a few hours 3-4, but Dr. Kamali is amazing. I was releases from the hospital late Sunday evening about 7:30 pm. Slept well in my own bed. Feel lots better today, not up to any laughter or running a race but just give me a few weeks and hit me up. Lol.
I want to thank all those that sent prayers and well wishes I truly believe they helped. Please keep me in your prayers as I continue to heal and move forward with this crazy life.
Love to all!
