Journal entry by Jeanne Feldkamp —
On behalf of Jarrod and his family, I am sharing the news for all who have helped Dillon battle these past few weeks. It is with heavy hearts that we share that his battle ended Sunday night peacefully with Jarrod and his father Jack by his side. They were surrounded by his mother Jill, and so many friends -- and Cheveo too. It was not the way anyone thought the day would end, as even just that morning there were signs of hope that Dillon's body could fight. However, that was not the case. The chemo took its toll on his body; the superbug infection took his life. The love though that Dillon gave, and received will never be taken.
We thank you for your support, your messages of love and your thoughts and prayers. We ask that you continue to keep Jarrod close to your heart, and all of their family and dear friends, as they try to make sense of this in the coming days, weeks and months. There are some beautiful letters, notes, and memories being posted on Dillon's FB page. Especially touching are those of his two brothers, Hunter and Hayden. Feel free to add yours to the page.
In the coming days family and friends will keep you updated as to plans and again thank you for your support, care and love. With time Jarrod will be able to personally thank you, however until then please allow him and their families a bit of space to process all of this. Thank you again, for everything.
