Journal entry by Jen Stewart —
Andrew has been at the hospital since really early this morning. Meemie had an exploratory scope to take a look at her heart to check everything out in preparation for the Watchman. No blockages, no clots, looks great. The Watchman will not be done until probably early October while they get everything ready and in. They said she can likely be released today or tomorrow. Nate and I are going to bring her home with us for the time being until we would feel good about her going home alone.
Bapa is doing ok. Kind of restless and wants to get up and down a lot, but not upset or unhappy. Hoping to get home released and transferred to Greenleaf after 4:30 today.
I got a full night’s sleep and feel so much better today. Cannot begin to express how grateful I am to Andrew and Nate for handling everything (and Nate at home) to let me recharge last night. Ready to hit the next phase.
