Diane’s Story

Site created on February 22, 2020

Welcome to Diane’s CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.  We want to keep everyone in the loop and it is very easy to forget who we told what to,  so hopefully this will help.

Friday, February 21, 2020 Diane went in for a scan of her liver, kidneys, and adrenal gland due to some blood test and CT scan abnormalities.  During Friday’s scan,  an aneurysm on her aorta was discovered.  She was sent directly to the hospital  to make a plan for surgery.

We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Tammy Will

While things have been progressing nicely with mom’s wound, dad’s treatment plan and the move from Cornell to Rice Lake is underway, we were hit yesterday with some not so good news.  Mom has a mass on her kidney that doctors would like to address as soon as possible.  As you can imagine this has sparked a high level of emotion in all of us, but especially mom and dad!

Remember wayback when, long before this whole aneurysm on the aorta thing?  And actually the process that led to the lifesaving discovery of the aneurysm, mom was having an ultrasound and CT scan of her liver, kidneys, and adrenal glands due to some irregularities in labs and evaluations.

The aneurysm obviously became top priority and the rest all went on the back burner. Well, now that things have somewhat leveled off for her medically and she is establishing care locally, records have been received and reviewed, and we received the call yesterday. Mom is scheduled to meet via video conferencing with an endocrinologist from Mayo on Tuesday morning. We will know more then and will be sure to update as we learn the details. In the meantime, please continue prayers for all! 💜
