My heart is heavy knowing you are not in this world with us but I look forward to crossing paths again in the next. No pain, no fear, no worry - all love and happiness always.

Rest in Peace Diane. You are very much missed but your presence is everywhere.

Diane was everywhere, blazing trails, creating art, making space for other artists, bringing people together, laughing her gorgeous laugh. I will be ever-grateful for her support and friendship. May her memory be a blessing.

Only now, a month later can I begin to comprehend the loss of Diane, in my life and in the life of our field. She was a true friend, a true creative being. She lit up every room she walked into, she is shining still.

Diane Rodriguez. Miss her. Ache in my heart. Outrageous laughing together. Salsa Dancing with Diane and Roy Johns. Amazing New Year's Eve's parties. Diane and JD loyal friends. Brilliant talent for living. I am crushed. What more is there to say? Plenty.

Diane Rodriguez was in instrumental in giving passion and support to early teatros in the seventies: Tetaro Libertad ( a member of TENAZ and later Borderlands Theater. She directed for us and introduced us to many now well know Chicano/Latino playwrights

Diane you will always be in my heart and soul. You gave so so much of your love to your family, friends, and the theater community. Much love to JD and the whole familia!

Diane was one of the purest souls I have ever known. I will forever cherish her friendship. She was elegant, gracious, loving, genuine, original, thoughtful, talented and generous. I will never forget the sound of her laughter and the joy she gave us all.

The theater is richer and more just because of Diane. It was a privilege to have her in my play Living Out, and a gift to know her for thirty years. My heart goes out to JD, friends, and family. I'll bet the angels are busy rehearsing!

Diane is and always will be a great soul whose friendship we will treasure forever.
