Journal entry by Diane Cassidy

Early this spring I started having this weird feeling down my right arm into my hand, Followed by a tremor.  This would come and go. Finally I spoke to my family doctor about it
He ordered a ct of my head. ultra sound of my Carotid s and an EEG. This was done within a few days.  As I was getting my tests done, Dennis called and asked me if Dr
 Jaecklein had reached me
as there was something wrong with my ct scan. I called the doctor and he told me to go to the ED. He had already spoken to the neurosurgeon who said she needed an MRI as there appeared to be an abnormality in the frontal lobe on the right .  I had the scam and was admitted to the hospital. I would need the tumor removed. Another tumor was also found on the MRI but ot was further back and was inoperative . So the next day I had brain surgery
Dr. Gescjwindt was the surgeon.  Shr didnt even shave my head! Well the results were as she suspects stage 4, Glioblastoma . I will need chemo and radiation at the same time. My 1st treatments start on August 15th
my chemo is a pill.  so I take it at home for 6 weeks the same time I go to radiation. Following  this I only take chemo on one week off three
