Journal entry by John Hickson —
Had the port put in yesterday and felt normal afterward with the exception of falling asleep when we got home. For those who know me I NEVER sleep in the daytime unless I am pregnant, and that is an impossibility.
Woke up this morning and once again felt normal. Wow, I wanted to set off flares. Don’t know what will happen next because things seem to come in waves. I’ll take this. I have learned lessons one and two: 1. I have absolutely NO CONTROL. 2. I will never again assume that good health is a given. Having never been sick, and being able to work through anything that came my way, I thought you ,of course ,felt good. WELL good health is a gift and I guess I have been fortunate to have enjoyed it for 79 years. For now I am grateful for today and will take it. Mom
