Dhon’s Story

Dhon is a 17 year old senior, who lives in Albany Oregon with his oldest brother. He is so loved by his community and is very involved in school and Young Life. His energy is unmatched as he brings positivity and love to everyone around him. 🔥❤️

Dhon has been involved in a tragic accident and struck by a motor vehicle on the highway (March 7th). He has multiple injuries with the main injuries being a brain injury (Diffuse Axonal Injury), a collapsed lung, fractured vertebrae, two broken legs, a broken arm along with many other minor injuries. Many surgeries have been successfully completed and these injuries are on their road to recovery.🤕

He was staying at Legacy Memorial Hospital in Portland, OR in the NTICU (Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit). Recently transferred to Randalls Children’s Hospital in the PICU. He still has a very great team and is in the best hands possible. 🤲🏽🩺

God is with him, keep us all in your prayers. 🙏🏾

Dhonnie had a great rehab sesh this morning! 💪🏾

He is now cleared to bear weight in his legs which means he got to use the standing tilt table today. The rehab therapists also believe he’s been having longer periods of time with his eyes open! Nothing but progress they say. 📈

No updates on insurance appeal process yet.
