Sorry I’ve been MIA. 

It’s been busy few days! Derek is home (my house) for the time being, he is medically stable but broke a bones in each foot. He will follow up with orthopedic in 6-10 days! 

Derek is going to go to inpatient treatment next Tuesday for 13 months! We are so proud of him!  

He has no means of communication right now, and “doesn’t want to talk to anyone”. He is very overwhelmed by what happened and can’t place a grip on reality yet. This is hopefully been a huge eye opener for him and he is in a very vulnerable state. He is going to spend the next few days with family and most importantly his daughter, Aero! 

When Derek gets to treatment and I am allowed, I will share a mailing address, for if you want to write him! If anyone wants me to relay a message to him, I certainly will. Take no offense to him not wanting to talk to anyone! 

AGAIN, If you or a loved one is struggling with active addiction, seek help. If you are a family member watching your loved one go down the wrong dark path, support them but do not enable them or shun them. I PROMISE you have so much to live for!!
