Remembering Dennis One Year Later

Dearest Dennis,
It was one year ago today that I held your hand for 14 hours as we watched the sun set, the darkness come and then the sun rise again over the beautiful Taunus Mountains until you left this Earth and joined our Heavenly Father leaving all the pain and suffering of the disease behind you. I have missed you every hour of every day since. I go through each day “pretending” to be okay, but inside my heart is still so full of sadness. Living without you every day is the hardest of all. You will always be in in my heart. I know that you are watching over and guiding me from heaven.
