Dennis’s Story

Site created on April 27, 2018

Dad fainted and hit his head very hard on Wednesday night. He has been on blood thinners since having stents placed in February so this complicated the situation and unfortunately lead to bleeding around his brain. He was taken by medflight to the UW where he is in Neuro ICU. He is still in critical condition and being monitored very closely, but as of now is stable. We will post updates as able. We appreciate all the love and prayers we have already received.

Home Sweet Home!!

Dad was discharged from rehab this morning and is now home-just in time for JoAnne’s Birthday :) His kitties are happy to have him home and have been snuggling him most of the day.

Overall he is doing really well. He will have a CT scan next week and will follow up with his neurosurgeon. Outpatient PT, OT and Speech therapy will all start next week too.

He is is so appreciative of the cards and well wishes, and is blown away by the support he’s received. He still has a long road ahead of him but has made excellent progress so far (of course he feels he should be doing better). Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers!
