Dennis’s Story

Site created on May 17, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep Dennis’ family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting, please check back often.

Dennis had an accident on Friday, May 14th, and injured his spinal cord (C6-7 vertebrae).  It may take time to realize a full prognosis, although chances of regaining mobility in his legs and additional mobility in his arms/hands are low.

Dennis had surgery Friday night to stabilize the injury. As of today, he is awake and stable, but still in ICU at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

His daughters, Jessica, Liz and Beka are with him when possible and keeping us posted.  Send all of your love and positive energy towards Dennis and his family right now.

We are just figuring out ways for you all to help. Please check back often.

Right now, cards, prayers and words of hope mailed to Dennis at Vidant Medical Center are welcome.

His daughters have created a Go Fund Me page ( https://gofund.me/734fa01e ) to help with medical expenses and will add other ways to help as their family learns more about Dennis' injury.
