Dennis’s Story

Site created on February 19, 2021

On Wednesday,February 17th, Dennis was involved in a serious  snowmobile accident outside of Marquette, Michigan.  While trying to cross Highway 41 he was blinded by the sunlight and a logging truck hit the backend  of his snowmobile. Dennis was thrown from the snowmobile and sustained  major upper body injuries. He was transported to UP Health Systems hospital in Marquette, Michigan where he is in the ICU unit receiving treatment for broken ribs, clavicle, scapula, and back. His lung was collapsed so he is incubated at this time. We anticipate Dennis being here for at least two weeks until he’s stabilized to come closer to home.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Jeanne Cronce

Quick update...Dennis is home and on antibiotics.  He is doing better but still is weak and has little stamina.  He is able to walk short distances with a cane which is an upgrade from the walker.  He is eating better but still not a lot.  Tomorrow we go back to the doctor for a check up and he will have in home therapy for PT and OT. Each day seems better but it certainly is a new normal. Not complaining just very happy that Dennis is home and making progress.  Thanks again to all our friends and family for your prayers, care and support...will keep you updated. 💜🙏💜
